Meet the Artist: Bill Ogden

In our last blog, we introduced you to one of the many talented artists that we feature on our site, Rick Rietveld. At SurfART.com, we know that we wouldn't be here if it weren't for the creativity and talent of the incredible artists that we work with. To show our appreciation for our artists and the magnificent surf art that they produce, we are dedicating our blogs to introduce them to you. Today, you have the honor of learning a little bit about Bill Ogden.

Bill Ogden first made a name for himself in the surf art community in the early 1960's. His work was found in many facets of the commercial art world, including rock posters and magazines, and he was called, "One of the most influential and imitated surf artists of all time." Ogden's art illustrates many of the ideals he holds dear, including harmony, balance, and hope, and his style is a unique blend of the realistic and fantastical. Bill Ogden is still a big name in the surf art industry today, and his art has been used by many famous companies, including Burton, Volcom, and Quiksilver.

Bill Ogden has many pieces that are truly incredible, but a couple of our favorites include Liquid Galaxy and Lost Horizon. Visit our site to check out our entire collection of art from Bill Ogden and other talented artists. You are sure to find many pieces that you will fall in love with!
