About Surf Art, and Surf Seascapes
Surf Art, Prints, and Posters
The Waterman Surf Art Gallery is a graphics and design fabrication business (since 1987) in Oceanside, California, and Tom Glenn launched a new chapter in the business with the grand opening of Waterman Surf Art Gallery, the first gallery of its kind to "celebrate our Pacific Ocean heritage" and the surfing lifestyle through artwork with a surfing theme in February 1992. Today you will find Waterman Surf Art Gallery exclusively in cyberspace, at SurfArt.Com.
Since 1994 SurfArt.Com has provided a platform where people can purchase Surf Art on-line, discover the ancient roots, meet the legends of surfing, renew old ties and form new relationships in the world of surfing.
From the day we launched our website, we wanted to create a service that could bring people together to share common interests and passions and to build global communities based on the Sport of Surfing.
Whatever you cared about --surf art, surf history or surf culture, you came to SurfArt.Com to explore the possibilities.
Educational Resources
In 1994, Waterman Surf Art Gallery launched its website SurfArt.Com, the first comprehensive collection of Surf Art, Surf History and Surf Culture ON-LINE. Here we have the opportunity to share our research on the Hawaiian Roots of Surfing and the Southern California Lifeguard Service not only with our local community, but with communities world-wide. As a result, students of all ages, from grade school to advanced degrees have benefited from our award-winning resources.
Pacific Resources for Education and Learning (PREL) adds SurfArt.com to its resources list. A non-profit 501 (c) 3 Corporation that provides a wide range of educational services to the Pacific region to provide an annotated list of resources useful for Pacific educators 2002.
StudyWeb is one of the Internet's premier sites for educational resources for students and teachers. SurfArt.com has been selected as one of the Net's finest informative sites and is included in StudyWeb®'s listing of educational links.
SurfArt.Com is also a recipient of the Launch Point Award. Launch Point is a regular feature of the Education Page, a collection of smart resources for students and parents found each Wednesday in The Times. The subjects for Launch Point are taken from the California public schools curriculum and are carefully screened by educational experts for quality and appropriate grade level.
